Overview

The world is in pain.

A woman stays up until 2 A.M. watching crappy TV, because she dreads going into work in the morning.

A boy is beaten up at school because he dresses differently than his schoolmates.

An entrepreneur works 14-hour days, 7 days a week, struggling to support his family.

A single mother picks her son and daughter up from daycare. The kids screech and hit each other. She screams at them to stop, nearly wrecking the car.

How can you help? What can you do?

You can write.

That woman reads a book that shows her what she’s missing in her life, and inspires her to go out and find it.

That boy reads a blog about bullying and finds the courage to stand up for himself.

That entrepreneur reads an ebook on productivity, puts it into practice, and is able to make ends meet and spend more time with his family.

That single mother reads an article on how to handle a fight between your children. The next time her son and daughter yell and hit each other, she steps between them, takes a deep breath, and asks them, “What’s wrong, my darlings?”

The world needs to hear the message that is within your heart.

You can make a difference. You can change the world, one reader at a time. And in the World-Changing Writing Workshop, you’ll learn exactly what you need to know to make it happen. And we’ll break it down into six manageable steps for you.

The Six Steps to World-Changing Writing

  1. Write.
  2. Find your voice.
  3. Find your audience.
  4. Find support.
  5. Grow.
  6. Set your intention.

We’ve gathered six experts who, along with the two of us, will guide you through these six steps. We hand-picked each expert because of their knowledge and experience in one of these six steps to world-changing writing. Together, we’ll teach you what you need to know, and you’ll be able to write and inspire with skill and confidence.

“I thought it was amazing. Truly. The quality was directly related to the superstar speakers you got. They were wonderful.”

Megan Matthieson, idanceiwrite.com

The How, the Where, and the When

The World-Changing Writing Workshop is a home study course. We recorded the live version, cleaned it up, and turned it into a home study course for you. You don’t need to travel, show up at a particular time, or even leave the comfort of your own pajamas. The Workshop consists of 8 hour-long classes: you can listen to the audio recordings, read the transcripts, or both! Each session is hosted by Kyeli and Pace, and consists of a presentation by the featured speaker followed by a brief Q&A period. Also, each transcript includes a timestamped index of the key concepts, so you can fast-forward to the right place in the audio if you want to skip around.

“I was one of those folks that couldn’t be on most of the live calls during the work day so I downloaded and listened later. I thought all of the speakers were truly great and covered a range of topics that all related back to the core. I thought your questions all provoked very thoughtful answers and were many of the things I was wondering about. I just thought the whole program was well worth the money and I would definitely do it again.”

Speakers

The Who and the What

Do you yearn to be a writer, but you don’t know where to start?

Do you wish you could get into the flowing state where fun flows through your fingers and onto the page, instead of stressing out about a deadline?

Do you wish you could turn off your internal critic and just write?

Introducing SARK!

SARK (Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy) is a best-selling author and artist, with sixteen titles in print and well over two million books sold, including Juicy Pens, Thirsty Paper. She’s an acclaimed speaker and teacher, and has been teaching and leading workshops for over twenty years.

You’re sitting on a treasure. You contain amazing, world-changing gifts that you may not even realize are special, because they are simply part of who you are. SARK will teach you how to go digging for gold, and then teach you how you can share your treasure with the world.

She’ll show you how to write and share what’s in your heart — the most effective way to move and inspire others, whether you’re writing fiction, non-fiction, blog posts, or books. If you know that a writer lives within you but you don’t know how or where to start, or if you need new ways to work past your blocks and be reinspired — SARK will help you start the ink flowing and keep it going.

SARK will teach you how to get your words out of your heart and onto the paper.

Do you want to encourage others to not just share your vision, but to jump in and help make it happen?

Do you struggle to communicate complex concepts to your readers in a way that really lands?

Do you want to inspire others with your writing and build your business/readership/authority at the same time?

Introducing Pam Slim!

Pamela Slim is an experienced writer, speaker, and coach. She’s the author of Escape from Cubicle Nation, the Best Small Business/Entrepreneur Book of 2009, and she’s studied teaching, training, and development for many years.

Pam will show you how to teach and explain with your writing: how to break down hard-to-understand concepts into chunks that your readers will gobble up, digest, master, and thank you for the pleasure.

She’ll show you how to inspire and persuade with your writing: how to get your readers to stand up and cheer when they read what you write, and then, how to get them to go out and do something about it.

She’ll explain how you can know which style of writing — explanatory or persuasive — is called for in different situations, and how you can weave the two together like a braid. She’ll show you the upside and the downside of “preaching to the choir”.

Pam will show you how to write, teach, and inspire.

Are you having trouble getting your work in front of the right readers?

Is your writing scattered or fragmented? Do you have trouble unifying your writing into a coherent theme?

Are your readers lazy or indifferent? Do you wish they would sing your praises and share your work with others?

Introducing Mark Silver!

Mark Silver is a fourth-generation entrepreneur, coach, consultant, mentor, writer, and Sufi Master Teacher. His weekly writings and teachings are followed by thousands of people around the globe. He is the author of seven different in-depth programs and a number of other smaller teachings and classes for entrepreneurs. Together they form a comprehensive entrepreneurial wisdom academy curriculum.

Mark will show you how to find your ideal readers, then turn them into raving fans. Then, he’ll show you how to collect all your various articles, scribblings, blog posts, journal entries, and other offerings, and build them into a comprehensive body of work. With each piece of your writing serving as a pillar of a beautiful, solid structure, it becomes something greater than the sum of its parts, and your readers will feel that strength and solidness. They will lean into you, trusting you. They will become not just readers, but raving fans.

There is a saying from Mark’s spiritual tradition, “Be the earth for your brothers and sisters. Hold them up as they walk their path.”

Mark will teach you how to be the earth for your readers.

Do you suffer from writer’s block?

Do you have trouble writing sustainably over the long haul with quality and sanity?

Do you have trouble sticking to what you start and finishing it?

Introducing Patti Digh!

Patti Digh of 37days.com is the author of 6 books, including the best-selling Life is a Verb. She is a co-founder of The Circle Project, which uses art, story, and theatre to help individuals build more inclusive communities that connect, collaborate, and create. She’s a mother, a speaker, and a writer.

She’ll teach you how you can build a community to support you – and one you can learn from, too. Patti has helped her readers form a community around her work, and now they’re not only loyal fans, but they actively contribute material to her books. She’ll show you how you can do the same thing for your audience.

But before you can even get started on building a community around your writing, you must acknowledge this simple truth: You can’t change the world with your writing if you don’t write. Writer’s block, procrastination, distraction: any of these things can sneak up behind you and nip your writing in the bud before it has a chance to blossom into the world.

That’s why Patti will teach you her secret to writing consistently without whining. She’ll show you how to get yourself out of the way so you can write, how to stick to a publishing schedule, and how to start writing a book, in baby steps, without feeling like you have to sequester yourself away from the world on a writing retreat. She’ll teach you a trick or two for getting started, and show you how you can reconnect with “writing space” when outside issues try to disconnect you.

Patti will teach you how to make sure your writing gets done.

Do you hold back from putting your writing out there, because you’re afraid it would feel like cracking open your soul and letting everyone see it?

Do you have trouble pinpointing a theme or topic to write about?

Do you wish you could find your voice and write authentically without sounding fake or stilted?

Introducing Bindu Wiles!

Bindu is an accomplished writing coach and life coach with an MFA in creative non-fiction from Sarah Lawrence College. She has been a student of Buddhism for 20 years. She recently completed a 300 page memoir which is in the works for publication, and is currently at work on a book of essays on female to male cross-dressing.

Bindu will show you how to approach the blank page, cultivate the Muse, and get out of your own way. Using techniques and explorations off the page, away from the desk, and that have little to do with writing in the moment, she will lead you into the ability to get your story going and tell your truths. She is particularly interested in the ways that people feel silenced and helping them break through those silences.

Once your story is flowing, she will show you how to keep things moving. She will address issues of conceptual mind, the subconscious, safety, authenticity, and the basic bravery each writer must develop everyday.

Bindu will help you find your courage and find your voice.

Do you want to make a living as a writer?

Do you want to channel the writing you love into something that could support you?

Do you want to develop a blog into something that could help people and earn income?

Introducing Ali Luke!

Ali Luke of Aliventures is a professional writer, freelancer, and blogger. She is the author of The Blogger’s Guide to Effective Writing and The Blogger’s Guide to Freelancing, and she coaches writers, helping them unlock their potential and take their writing to the next level. She’ll soon be publishing her first novel.

Ali makes a living from her writing, and she’ll show you how you can do it too. She’ll guide you through the various paths to making money from writing, including freelancing, article writing, ebook writing, staff blogging, book publishing, and getting hired as a columnist. She’ll tell you which of these paths pay but don’t create too much tension on your ideal writing lifestyle.

She’ll show you how to successfully launch a blog and how you can use it to create revenue. She’ll explain what to do with your writing after you’ve created it: how to market the finished product and how best to communicate the work to the world.

Ali will teach you how to make a living as a writer.

Do you wish you could polish your rough drafts into finished works that shine and inspire?

Do you have trouble taking constructive criticism, or finding people who will give it to you in a useful way?

Do you wish you could keep motivated and stay positive when you’re not caught up in the energy of an awesome writing workshop?

Introducing Pace & Kyeli!

We’re not only the hosts, we’ve also got some very important things to teach you! But first, allow us to introduce ourselves.

We’ve written a book, The Usual Error: Why We Don’t Understand Each Other And 34 Ways To Make It Better. We’ve written an eBook, 52 Weeks to Awesome. And we’ve written the Connection Manifesto. We’re honored to say that each of these works, in different ways, has changed the world.

You can grow a lot as a world-changing writer over the course of seven weeks, but you’ll grow even more if you learn how to continue improving throughout the year. We’ll teach you how to workshop your writing until it’s awesome, how to find writing buddies who will lift you up (and how to ditch the ones who bring you down), and how to turn the oomph you’re getting from this workshop into sustainable motivation and writing energy.

We’ll teach you how to continue improving when we’re not around.

Oh! And since there are two of us, we get two sessions. We also recorded a special introductory session of the Workshop — on how to make your writing make a difference, not just be more noise. In other words, on changing the world with your writing.

You’ll get that class as part of the Workshop as well.

“I loved the insight and the variety of speakers. Each one truly came from a different background and had something unique to say… it was great to get a variety of opinions on world changing writing, and how I can apply those principles and ideas to my own writing goals. Being a commercial writer I’m so used to writing fulfilling one area… but this has helped bridge the gap. I look forward to making changes based on what I’ve learned.”

Courtney Ramirez, towardbetterhealth.com

Once you learn what all these experts have to share with you, you’ll have everything you need to do some world-changing writing yourself.

…except for one thing. There’s still one last thing these experts have that you don’t.

Practice.

The World-Changing Writing Workbook

That’s why you’ll get The World-Changing Writing Workbook as a companion piece to the workshop. It contains an overview of the material covered in the workshop, some additional tips and tricks that aren’t covered anywhere else, and 14 writing exercises.

Each speaker has contributed 2 exercises to the workbook: a warm-up exercise for you to complete before their session, and a wrap-up exercise for after their session. Each exercise is hand-crafted by each speaker to enable you to practice the concepts they’re teaching. Finish all 14 and you’ll be well on your way to world-changing writing!

This isn’t highschool; we won’t be checking attendance or giving check marks to everyone who completes their assignments on time. It’s up to you how much you put into it — and how much you’ll get out of it. That said, you’ll have the entire week between sessions to complete the previous session’s wrap-up exercise and the next session’s warm-up exercise, so it won’t be too heavy of a courseload.

The World-Changing Writing Workbook is 81 beautiful pages, with a white background so you can print it out and write all over it.

If you’d like, you can have the first two chapters of the World-Changing Writing Workbook for free, right now. We’ve broken them out into a special guide we call The Six Steps to World-Changing Writing. Sign up for our mailing list to receive a copy in your inbox.

When you do, you’ll also get:

  • The latest news on the speakers, topics, material, bonuses, and special discounts for the World-Changing Writing Workshop
  • The recording of the special introductory session of the Workshop. Taught by us (Pace and Kyeli), it’s entitled Change the World With Your Writing. It’ll give you a good feel for what the Workshop will be like.
  • Of course, we’ll never spam you or share your information with others, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Just enter your name and email address, push “Subscribe”, and you’re good to go!

We hope these free resources will help you make an impact with your writing!

But before you go, we’d love to help you even more than that.

When you purchase the World-Changing Writing Workshop home study, you’ll get the whole workbook including the speakers’ writing exercises, recordings of all 8 classes (edited to reduce “um”s, stuttering, and long pauses), and transcripts of all 8 classes (nicely formatted, timestamped, and well-indexed).

We built this course to help you, so we want to make sure that you get what will help you the most.

“What I loved most was that you were open to being wrong. So many people who run workshops think ‘I hadn’t thought of that’ is a forbidden phrase.”

Chris Anthony, delightspecialist.com

Learning world-changing writing is a big investment.

How else would you learn the craft of world-changing writing? If you traveled to an in-person writing retreat, it would cost $2140 plus transportation. If you hired any of our featured speakers as a writing coach, it would cost up to $500 just for one hour — and some of them don’t even do individual coaching.

We’re confident that this Workshop — 8 recordings, 8 transcripts, plus the World-Changing Writing Workbook — will help you more than just one hour with one world-changing writer. And we’re able to offer it to you for only $445.

“Insights I got from this workshop have led to major changes in my current world-changing project, and I’m incredibly grateful. I’ll be rereading the transcripts now and again for years. Also loved the bonus materials — some great content — and making both audio and transcripts available was a real plus.”

Carol Thomas, toolsforchangingtheworld.com

He’ll explain the two most important aspects of any title and show you the “4-U” method for crafting effective headlines. He’ll explain how best to split a title and a subtitle, and share pointers on where you can learn more and swipe some free-to-use templates you can fill in to create your own awesome titles.

And she had an office job for two of those three years, and a new baby.

How does she do it? It’s called the “RIDE ZE WILD DONKEY TECHNIQUE”. It’s crazy and wonderful and amazing — just like Goddess Leonie. And she’ll share all her secret techniques with you, so you can ride the wild donkey of creativity too!

Oh! And you also get a hilarious and awesome interview with Goddess Leonie about the Wild Donkey of Creativity, as a companion piece to the guide. The interview sounds like the e-book looks — fun, inspirational, and full of joy.

Bonus #6: Paths to Publication

We’ve got a pair of resources for you on getting your book published, or getting your articles published in magazines or newspapers.

John Hedtke is an expert in traditional book publishing. He’s the author of 27 books and the owner of JVH Communications, a writing and business consulting services company. He’s an experienced public speaker and often speaks on the topic of publishing.

John will teach you how to find a publisher, how to pick topics (you don’t need a topic before contacting a publisher), how contracts, royalties, and advances work, and how to write a solid book proposal for your nonfiction or fiction book.

Kelly Kingman is an expert in self-publishing and article publishing. She’s the author of the acclaimed Sticky eBook Formula, has been published in the New York Times, and is the owner of Kelly Kingman Media, a media consulting services company.

Kelly will explain the pros and cons of self-publishing vs. traditional publishing, whether print-on-demand or a short run is a better choice for you, and a step-by-step checklist for self-publishing your book. She’ll also explain exactly what you need to do to get your articles published in a magazine or newspaper, including example pitch letters to send to editors.

Kelly has also written a short e-book, Paths to Publication, to accompany the interview. Inside, you’ll find an outline of the three steps to a perfect pitch for an article, a valuable list of dos and don’ts, a self-publishing checklist, and a handy list of resources.

After learning from John and Kelly, you’ll be equipped to choose the path that’s best for you, and you’ll know just what to do to make it happen!

Bonus #7: The Blog Starter Kit

Blogging is a great way to hone your writing skills while connecting with your audience at the same time. If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog, we’ll give you everything you need to get started.

Firstly, you’ll get Steff Metal’s Grymm and Epic Guide to Blogging, a $37 value. This comprehensive guide will show you where to start, and how to avoid the common mistakes made by new bloggers. Then, it’ll teach you how to create engaging blog posts, how to grow your blog readership, and about eighty other awesome things.

The World-Changing Writing Workshop is so jam-packed full of goodness, we’ve got bonuses in our bonuses! The Grymm and Epic Guide to Blogging also comes with a bonus guide containing 101 Blogging Tips and 15 Twitter Tips.

“I have the WCWW home study and I think it is seriously the best info-product I’ve ever bought. The best thing about it is the fact it’s not aimed at beginners – there’s so much useful and thought-provoking discussion for writers of every level. You two did such a fantastic job of putting it together!”

Steff Metal, steffmetal.com

Secondly, Johnny B. Truant will set up your blog on your own domain for free. He usually charges $69-$144 for this, but he’s offering this service as a free bonus for folks who purchase the home study.

If you already have your own domain and your own web hosting through either HostGator or GoDaddy, you’re good to go! If you don’t have hosting yet, no worries. Don’t go out and buy it yet — Johnny will walk you through the process and point you to some good deals. And once you’re set up with a lovely home for your new blog, Johnny will:

  • Install and configure WordPress software on your own domain (i.e. “put up a blog for you”)
  • Upload a free theme of your choice (which determines your blog’s “look”) and make it active so that your blog looks all cool and pretty.
  • Install add-on software (“plug-ins”) that will give you more ranking with the search engines, allow people to subscribe to and follow comments left on your blog, and fight spammers.
  • Explain how to get into the administrative area, where you can write posts, add pages, spiff it up, etc.
  • Give you a video that shows you how to do most of that stuff — i.e., the most common blog tasks like adding photos, writing posts, making links, and so on.

How can Johnny afford to do hundreds of blog setups for free, you wonder? When you purchase hosting (which you’d need anyway), Johnny gets a referral commission from the hosting company. And if you already have hosting, we pay Johnny’s fee ourselves on your behalf.

Premium Bonus: The 1st Annual World-Changing Writing Workshop home study

We could fill another five whole tabs full of oodles of information about how great it is, but this page is huge enough as it is, so we’ll just show you the lineup and let your imagination fill in the rest. Trust us, it’s incredible.
